Our mission is to innovate and offer safe and sustainable apparel solution to impart women a carefree, stress-free and stain-free experience right from puberty through to post-menopause and every phase in between. Our products are made from OEKO-TEX® standard 100-certified Bamboo fabric and GOTS certified Organic Cotton fabric. Urban Period Wear is carefully crafted using Bamboo fabric as the outer layer and Organic Cotton fabric as the next to skin inner lining for ultimate comfort and protection.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100

The OEKO-TEX® standard 100-certification is the world-leading certification in textiles, that have been tested for substances that are harmful to our health and the environment. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety. The harmful substances that OEKO-TEX tests for include heavy metals, toxic dyes and known carcinogens.

GOTS

GOTS stands for “Global Organic Textile Standard” and is designed to ensure internationally recognized and high-quality criteria in organic textile production. With its stringent requirements, the GOTS certification ensures that the entire process is socially and environmentally sound, right from the harvesting of fibers in agriculture to the production of the fabric.

BAMBOO FIBER

Our products are made up of high quality, OEKO-TEX® standard 100 certified Bamboo fiber which is natural, antibacterial and bacteriostatic, hygroscopic and permeable, smooth and soft, green and biodegradable, breathable and cool as well as ultraviolet-proof. Bamboo is a sustainable material because of its rapid growth and because it requires only CO2. What is notable of bamboo fiber is its unusual ability to breathe and its coolness. Apparels made from Bamboo fibers are 1-2 degrees lower than normal apparels in summer and that is why bamboo fabric is used in much of our period intimate and apparel range.

ORGANIC COTTON

The inner lining of our products are all made of GOTS certified Organic cotton fabric. Organic Cotton is grown safely without the use of harmful chemicals and fertilizers and processed without toxic dyes and finishing materials. So they are equally good for the environment and human health. Inner wear made of organic cotton fabric are safer as manufacturers adhere to very rigid and stricter production and manufacturing standards. There are no chemical retentions from organic cotton clothing; thus, people especially with sensitive skin, allergies or with specific chemical sensitivity will greatly benefit from having Organic Cotton fabric as the lining material in their Under-garments.

Moisture Impermeable layer of Urban Period Wear prevents the leak but are highly breathable. The leak-proof layer consists of a fabric material with a thin layer of water resistant coating that prevents moisture penetration but allows the passage of air thus making our Period Wear breathable and comfortable.
